Job Description:

  • Schedule & Compensation
    Schedule Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    Start Date April 2026-September 2026

    A warm and loving family in Lake Highlands is seeking a dependable, experienced nanny with a strong background in **newborn and infant care**. This role is primarily focused on caring for a new baby, with some support for an older toddler in the mornings and on days she is home from daycare.

    We are looking for someone who is nurturing, structured, safety-minded, and excited to support a calm, developmentally rich home environment.

    About the Role
    This position centers on **infant care**, while also assisting with light toddler care and child-related household tasks. The ideal candidate is confident with newborn routines, enjoys early childhood development, and is comfortable in a busy home with two young children and a friendly dog.

    Key Responsibilities
    Infant care
    * Bottle feeding (and later assisting with the introduction of solids)
    * Diapering, hygiene, swaddling, soothing, and nap support
    * Engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities, including:
    * Tummy time, reading, singing, talking, sensory play, and tracking exercises
    * Stroller walks and outdoor time (weather permitting)
    * Maintaining a consistent daily routine, including:
    * Structured feeding, play, and nap schedule
    * Monitoring and logging naps, feedings, diapers, and milestones
    * Providing a brief daily summary to parents

    Toddler Support
    * Morning daycare routine:
    * Assisting with breakfast
    * Helping with dressing, hygiene, and getting ready for drop-off
    * Light tidying of kitchen and play areas after the morning routine
    * Care on days when toddler is home:
    * Planning fun, safe, and engaging activities
    * Indoor/outdoor play, reading, art, and simple educational play
    * Supporting nap schedule
    * Preparing simple toddler meals and snacks

    Household-Related Tasks (Child-Focused)
    * Washing and sterilizing bottles and pump parts
    * Baby and toddler laundry (as needed)
    * Keeping nursery, changing areas, and play spaces clean and organized
    * Tidying common areas used during the day
    * Light dinner prep for the children (and possibly family, if discussed)

    Pet Care
    * Feeding and letting out a friendly, 5-year-old doodle

    Requirement
    * Strong newborn and toddler experience with excellent references
    * Clear background check
    * Infant/Child CPR and First Aid certification
    * Valid driver’s license and reliable, safe transportation
    * Fluent in English
    * Up-to-date on standard vaccinations (Tdap required)
    * Non-smoker
    * Comfortable with a friendly, low-shedding dog

    Ideal Candidate
    * Has hands-on nanny or childcare experience with both infants and toddlers
    * Is dependable, patient, loving, and structured
    * Communicates clearly and partners well with parents on routines and development
    * Is proactive and helps keep the household running smoothly
